Lightwave International is currently accepting applications for employment in the following areas:  

 We are a fast-paced production company that specializes in lasers and special effects for the touring industry, corporate & civic events, permanent installations, and the movie industry.   We are the Arctos distributor for the Americas, and produce 100% solid state shows exclusively with their product.   Lightwave International is located in Pittsburgh, PA on the corridor between downtown and the international airport.  Relocation is required. We are presently seeking to fill positions in the following general areas.  Skills, knowledge and/or experience in more than one area listed is preferred. 

Sales  A qualified candidate will be fluent with all aspects of production, well spoken, intelligent, and creative.  Candidate must be capable of envisioning performance area, quickly assessing the most appropriate programming and equipment, and conveying this vision to the client in a relaxed conversation.  Responsible for writing invoices, managing logistics, attending trade shows, managing crew on show locations, and light secretarial work.  Not looking for the cliché’ salesperson – instead, a likeable, knowledgeable partner that can brainstorm, dream, and design with our clients.  Must have incredible people skills, and a love for the cold call.  Must understand all safety and regulatory aspects of production to design safe and realizable events.   Safety Officer  Ideally, all candidates would posses these skills.   Responsible for creating all safety reports for events.  This includes:  CDRH, State (such as NY, TX, etc), FAA.  NY Class B certification is a plus. 

Technician  Seeking experienced problem solvers that can think fast on the road and solve technical problems.  Travel is required, and the norm.  Must be well versed with the language and environment of production, and have knowledge and experience in each production world.  Electronics background or extensive experience is required.  Touring experience is a plus, as is the ability to clean and align complicated projectors, tune scanners, and the like.  Must be a fast learner and adaptable.  Must not be afraid of the weather or long production hours, and must get along well with others in a team atmosphere.
Artist  We are searching for an all-around great artist to supplement our creative needs.  Tasks include web development, generation of printed material, writing of copy, generation of laser show content, video editing, and manipulation of audio.  Web skills here are a great asset, and knowledge of CMS is plus.  Software:  Pangolin, 3D Studio Max, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Flash.  Photography and videography skills are an asset.
