 Note: The below information is about sub-rentals of laser equipment and laser technicians by other production companies, and is not a resource for customers that wish to hire a complete laser show.

Lightwave carries a massive inventory of Lightwave Prism Series direct diode laser projectors.   The following power levels are commonly in stock:

Sub-Rental requirements:   Unattended laser equipment rentals are ONLY available to companies with a valid CDRH variance that has sumbitted lasers of these power levels, wavelength, and technology type.  We will provide the text required for certified companies that wish to ammend their variance to use these lasers.

All other sub-rentals MUST include a Lightwave technician, and the show variance must be filed under Lightwave's variance for legal operation of the show.

Model Specific Information:

Size of Laser: The Prism family of laser projectors is ultra-compact and lightweight.  There is a routine use of the language ‘class housing’, where a family of similar sized projectors share the same metalwork. For example, 10W - 13W projectors all share the same housing data.

Power Requirements: All of the laser light systems operate from universal power from 110V-230V at either 50 or 60Hz. The systems are auto switching with no user intervention required. Lasers have a standard IEC female input, and include an edison cable. All three laser classes may be operated by just one standard circuit, with a linear increase in consumption as related to output power.

Cooling Requirements: All laser systems are air-cooled with TE cooling / resistive heating for stabilization of the active components. Accordingly, the projectors only require an environment of 8C-25C (46-77C) for standard operation. No cooling water is required. Projector optics are completely sealed from outside contamination, while the projector electronics and TE cooling fans are bathed in ambient air. Should the environmental temperature greatly exceed these conditions, temperature controlled sub-housings are available as an accessory.
